Guide

Cattle, sheep and cervids: identify animals and report their movements to Attestra

Obtain stakeholder and site numbers, apply official identifiers and report births, arrivals, departures or deaths within the deadlines.

Priority

An animal-health emergency or reportable disease also follows veterinary and government instructions; traceability does not replace that report.

Register the stakeholder and site

Contact Attestra for the required identifiers and SimpliTRACE access. Each holding or activity location must be correctly linked.

Identify the animals

Use official tags for the species and link each unique number to the correct animal. Replace a lost identifier through the procedure without creating a duplicate record.

Report events

Record tagging, birth, arrival, departure, movement or death according to your role. The site operator must notably report a cattle arrival within the applicable deadline.

Keep and reconcile records

Keep tag invoices, transport documents and confirmations. Regularly compare animals present with the registry before a sale or inspection.
