Environmental halocarbon qualification: obtaining the H certificate

Choose recognized training, submit registration and distinguish course completion from mandatory certification.

Check before acting

This guide covers qualification procedures, not refrigerant-handling methods.

Check covered work

Environmental qualification applies to work requiring halocarbon handling. Also check other qualifications for your trade; the H certificate does not replace them. [1]

Choose the pathway

The distance pathway includes training, program registration and examination. The school-service-centre pathway provides a completion attestation followed by registration to receive the certificate. [1]

Submit supporting documents

Follow the official registration process and include training evidence and required fees. Have prior learning assessed by the competent service rather than assuming equivalence. [2]

Confirm the issued credential

Check that the document received is the intended qualification certificate. Keep attestations and decisions in your professional records to substantiate the completed pathway. [2]
