Guide

Team selection or carding: prepare an SDRCC appeal

Find the appeal policy, preserve deadlines and prepare an Ordinary Tribunal request.

Check before acting

Deadlines can be very short. This guide does not replace legal advice or your sport organization’s rules.

Find the applicable policy

Read your federation’s selection and appeal policies. The SDRCC directory links many policies; otherwise request the current version directly. [2]

Keep useful evidence

Record when the decision arrived. As practical preparation, collect published criteria, results, correspondence and internal appeal decisions, then state the correction sought. [2]

Check jurisdiction and timing

Confirm tribunal access requirements and any prior internal appeal. The Code’s 31-day period is only a default where applicable rules provide no deadline. [1]

File the request

Use the Ordinary Tribunal request form. Flag an imminent competition and check expedited procedures and legal assistance options. [1]
