Guide

Industrial facilities: Québec air-contaminant and GHG reporting

Check applicability, arrange IQEA access and submit facility reporting.

Check before acting

Thresholds and categories vary by contaminant and activity; a federal obligation does not replace checking Québec requirements.

Check the criteria

Review categories and thresholds for the facility and reporting year. GHG reporting and other contaminants do not necessarily use the same criteria. [1]

Prepare authorization

Check business access and required delegations in the online services. An external consultant needs appropriate authorization; do not share the operator’s credentials. [2]

Prepare the annual return

Assemble facility data and calculation evidence under current rules. Annual reporting is generally due by June 1 following the reporting year. [1]

Organize verification

Distinguish preparation, submission and any verifier involvement. Match authorized individuals to the prescribed roles and retain the submitted file and corrections. [2]
