Online audio or video streaming service: check and complete undertaking registration with the CRTC

Online-undertaking registration is not a broadcasting licence. Exemptions must be assessed under current rules.

Confirm the right process

Determine whether the service is an online undertaking and assess the relevant exemptions, activities and revenues.

Prepare the dossier

Gather the legal name, contacts, services, web addresses and operator information required by the form.

Submit the application

Use the current Form 158 and the submission method specified by the CRTC.

Follow up

Retain confirmation and keep information current; separately assess other regulatory duties and the deregistration process.
