Operating amusement rides: annual permits and RBQ identification
Prepare the permit, equipment certification and registration before operation.
A plate on a ride does not replace registration on the operator’s permit.
Plan the annual permit
The owner-operator must hold and annually renew the permit. RBQ requests a complete file at least 60 days before planned operation or renewal. [1]
Gather documents
Include requested information, documents and current fees. The permit lists operated rides; information changes must be reported to RBQ using the prescribed form. [1]
Obtain identification
Before operation, check the RBQ plate and each ride’s inclusion on the permit. For an unplated ride, have a recognized person produce the required attestation. [2]
Manage a purchase or sale
The plate stays with a sold ride. When acquiring one, therefore check its identity separately from the steps needed to add it to your own permit. [2]
