Forecasts and observations are not guarantees. Values include uncertainty and do not represent every possible effect of ice or ice jams. USGS and IJC sources add cross-border context; always follow the responsible authorities when safety is at stake.
A complement to flood-zone mapping
Flood-zone maps describe territorial context. Forecasts and gauges describe expected or observed flow and water levels at monitored sites. They are useful together, but they answer different questions.
