Research at ISQ: requesting secure microdata access
Check available data, submit the project and select an eligible access environment.
Research access is controlled; it does not allow unrestricted downloads of confidential data.
Define the needs
Check eligibility, the catalogue and preparation checklist. Describe the research question, team, variables and required software before choosing a feasibility inquiry or access application. [1]
Submit through Zone recherche
Follow the current submission process and allow for project and cost review. A feasibility inquiry must not be confused with access authorization. [1]
Choose the environment
Compare CADRISQ access with files available remotely. Detail and conditions differ; Revenu Québec data require access in CADRISQ. [2]
Plan for working restrictions
Choose the environment around the data actually needed and available resources. Confirm costs and output-release rules before promising an external delivery. [2]
