Guide

Apply for book publisher accreditation in Québec

Check the eligible catalogue, author royalties and the publisher’s annual obligations.

Check before acting

An ISBN or legal deposit does not replace publisher accreditation.

Check the catalogue

Compare your titles with the criteria for the publisher’s age and, where applicable, art books. Also check the business ownership requirements. [1]

Prepare evidence

Document eligible publications and royalty payments. Use the publisher application form and the business’s di@pason account. [1]

Obtain the decision

Answer requests for clarification. Accreditation requires a favourable decision; funding programs have their own conditions. [1]

Report each financial year

Submit the annual report within six months after the financial year-end. Use the official document checklist to prepare the report even if no reminder arrives. [2]
