Museum or exhibition centre: prepare an accreditation application

Prepare quality evidence and check the submission window before applying for museum accreditation.

Check before acting

As checked on August 30, 2026, the ministry page says the submission period has ended. Check the next opening before submitting.

Assess eligibility

The process assesses institutional quality: governance, resources, conservation, public programming and education. It does not guarantee a grant. [1]

Prepare attachments

Read the portal’s criteria, requirements guide and checklist. List the evidence available and gaps to address. [2]

Apply at the right time

Check the annual opening, then use the accreditation portal with a valid email address. Review the FAQ before finalizing the application. [2]

Plan renewal

Accreditation is granted for five years. Record its expiry and prepare for renewal; ask the regional office about unclear requirements. [1]
