Guide

Eligible Canadian production: obtain CAVCO certificates and coordinate the CRA tax credit claim

Verify the corporation and content, secure chain of title and Canadian points, track deadlines, file costs and retain certificates.

Priority

Opening a CAVCO file does not automatically extend tax deadlines. Contracts, screen credits and final versions must remain consistent.

Confirm the scope

Confirm a taxable Canadian production company, eligible genre, copyright ownership and production control.

Prepare the information

Document key personnel, points, expenses, financing, chain of title, dates and final content without conflicting commitments.

Complete the process

Create the CAVCO account, choose Part A, B or combined filing and upload forms, costs and fees on time.

Keep follow-up records

Answer analysts, obtain the certificate and coordinate the T2 tax form while retaining originals for six years.
