Dangerous goods activity outside the usual rules: demonstrate an equivalent level of safety

Dangerous goods activity outside the usual rules: demonstrate an equivalent level of safety

Priority

Commercial difficulty or cost creates no exemption. The non-compliant activity cannot start before issuance and must remain within the certificate’s scope.

Confirm the scope

Identify the exact provision, standard or requirement not met, the goods, quantities, means of containment, modes and routes.

Prepare the information

Design the alternative and demonstrate at least equivalent safety through calculations, tests, drawings, procedures and experience.

Complete the process

Prepare legal identity, covered members and the complete form, then file the request and appendices through the approvals portal.

Keep follow-up records

Await the decision, train personnel, keep the certificate available and manage conditions, renewal, incidents and changes.
