Providing a regulated dosimetry service: prepare the CNSC licence application

Check first

The licence covers expressly authorized dosimetry types. Recognition of one type does not automatically extend to others.

Confirm the right process

Define the proposed services and dosimetry types; review section 18 of the Radiation Protection Regulations.

Prepare the dossier

Document legal status, management, qualifications, training and evidence of the service’s precision, accuracy and reliability.

Submit the application

Submit a complete application to the CNSC, cross-referencing records to REGDOC-2.7.2, Volume II requirements.

Follow up

Answer the assessment and await the licence; maintain quality controls, records and result reporting within the authorized scope.
