Do not file speculatively: an application for an exempt product may be refused without a fee refund. Do not sell or import a regulated product before registration.
Confirm the scope
Describe composition, sources, process, guarantees, claims, uses, crops, rates, microorganisms and country of manufacture.
Prepare the information
Apply registration triggers and assign the safety-assessment level with documented rationale.
Complete the process
Prepare the form, marketplace label, specifications, methods, analyses, safety data and fees using the checklist.
Keep follow-up records
File in My CFIA, answer deficiencies and, after registration, control labels, lots, changes, re-registration and records.
