Exporting, importing or transiting hazardous waste: obtain the federal permit before movement

Classify materials and operations, confirm eligible parties, notify in the system, obtain consents and track every shipment.

Priority

Permit responsibilities cannot be delegated to a carrier or broker. No load should depart before the permit is issued and valid.

Confirm the scope

Identify every stream, code, hazard, quantity, origin, destination, transit, recycling or disposal and facility.

Verify applicant status, contracts, insurance, authorized carriers and consent from foreign authorities.

Create access to the notification system, file the complete application and correct documentary discrepancies.

After issuance, use movement documents, confirm receipt and treatment and report return, refusal or incident.
