Concern about a nuclear facility or activity: file a complaint or report with the CNSC

Identify the licensee or place, describe observed facts, separate emergencies from regulatory complaints and retain follow-up.

Priority

For immediate danger, possible exposure or a crime in progress, move away and call 911. The complaint process is not an emergency service.

Confirm the scope

Identify the facility, licensee, substance or activity and confirm that the CNSC is the relevant regulator.

Record date, place, people, equipment, safely obtained photos, communications and observed impact without overstating conclusions.

Use the CNSC complaint channel; workers should also check internal mechanisms and reprisal protection.

Keep confirmation and the file number, answer requests and promptly report any change that makes the risk urgent.
