Keeping, exhibiting, breeding or using wild animals: obtain the correct permit class before arrival

Identify species and activity, choose a general or professional permit, demonstrate facilities and care, then manage records and renewal.

Priority

Buying or receiving the animal before the permit may be illegal possession and lead to seizure. Also check import and municipal rules.

Confirm the scope

List scientific species, numbers, origin, status, purpose, duration and responsible persons.

Choose the appropriate general, professional, temporary, farm, amphibian or other permit category and class.

Prepare enclosure plans, security, care, veterinary, quarantine, records, experience and separate fees.

File with the regional office before acquisition and follow identification, inventory, transfer, incident and renewal rules.
