Book distributor accreditation in Québec

Prepare a distributor application and track service and annual reporting obligations.

Check before acting

Selling books wholesale does not by itself establish eligibility for accreditation.

Describe the activity

Check Québec and Canadian ownership conditions, distribution of Québec authors and services to bookstores across regions. [1]

Apply through di@pason

Register the business, complete the distributor form and attach current supporting evidence. Keep a dated copy. [1]

Organize service

Plan order handling, delay notifications, inventory services and applicable discounts. Accreditation comes with ongoing obligations. [1]

Report annually

Prepare each accredited establishment’s report within six months after its financial year-end. Check the required attachments and di@pason submission instructions on the official page, then retain the complete file. [2]
